Indexing & Abstracting
Indexing and abstracting services help academic journals and published articles become easier to discover, evaluate, and cite.
These services may organize journal metadata, article titles, abstracts, author information, references, and publication details so that researchers can find relevant work through academic search tools and library systems. For authors, inclusion in recognized databases can improve the visibility of published research and support broader academic reach. For readers and librarians, indexing may provide additional ways to identify journals, locate articles, and assess publication records.
Journal indexing status is also commonly considered as one indicator of a journal's development and visibility. However, indexing does not replace the need to evaluate a journal's editorial policies, peer-review process, scope, published content, transparency, and access model. A journal should be considered on the basis of the quality and relevance of its scholarship as well as the clarity of its publishing practices.
Current IJSPE Indexing Status
The International Journal of Social Policy and Education is a growing, actively developing open-access journal. IJSPE is not currently indexed or listed in recognized academic indexing or abstracting databases. The journal does not claim present inclusion in any such service.
IJSPE is actively pursuing and applying for indexing with recognized academic databases as part of its long-term development. This work involves strengthening journal documentation, editorial transparency, publication consistency, article presentation, metadata quality, discoverability, and the accessibility of the journal's published record.
Any future inclusion will depend on the requirements, review procedures, and independent decisions of the relevant indexing or abstracting services. IJSPE will not describe itself as indexed, listed, accepted, or included unless that status has been formally confirmed. Until then, all references to IJSPE indexing should be understood as forward-looking and related to applications or development efforts rather than current membership or listing.
Access and Discoverability Without Indexing
Although IJSPE is not currently indexed in recognized academic databases, all published content remains fully open access. Readers do not need a subscription, institutional login, or payment to access articles on the journal website. There are no reader-side fees or paywalls for current or earlier issues.
Published articles can be discovered directly through the IJSPE website, including the Current Issue, Archives, and article pages. The journal's content may also be located through standard web search where pages have been made available for public discovery. Each published article remains part of the journal's permanent online record and can be accessed freely through the journal platform.
The journal's print ISSN is 2689-4998, its online ISSN is 2689-5013, and its DOI prefix is 10.61494/ijspe. These identifiers support accurate recognition of the journal and its published material, but they should not be interpreted as evidence of inclusion in any specific indexing database.
Ongoing Development
IJSPE views indexing as one part of a broader commitment to responsible academic publishing. The journal continues to develop its editorial policies, peer-review documentation, author information, publication ethics materials, article metadata, and website structure while maintaining its fully open-access model.
Prospective authors, readers, and librarians are encouraged to evaluate the journal through its published articles, stated scope, double-blind peer-review process, editorial board, and publicly available policies. The journal will update this page when its indexing status changes or when formal inclusion in a recognized service has been confirmed.
Readers and institutional representatives may check this page periodically for the most current and accurate IJSPE indexing information.
