A thorough pre-submission review helps reduce avoidable delays, prevents incomplete submissions, and lowers the risk of an initial editorial rejection caused by missing files, unsuitable formatting, or failure to meet basic manuscript submission requirements.

Use the following checklist immediately before opening the submission page or wizard:

• The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere. The work has not been previously published in the same or substantially similar form, and it is not currently being reviewed by another journal. Any relationship to earlier work has been disclosed and cited appropriately.
• The submission file is in an accepted format. The manuscript has been prepared as a Microsoft Word document or PDF file and can be opened, read, and reviewed without technical problems.
• The manuscript follows the Author Guidelines. The paper has been prepared according to the journal's formatting requirements, including readable presentation, consistent spacing, appropriate margins, clear section organization, and concise academic writing.
• Author-identifying information has been removed from the main manuscript. Author names, affiliations, contact details, acknowledgements, and other information that could reveal identity have been removed from the file used for double-blind peer review. Identifying information is provided separately where requested.
• The abstract is included and meets the guidelines. The manuscript contains a concise, self-contained abstract that accurately summarizes the purpose, approach, principal findings or argument, and contribution of the work.
• Keywords are included. Up to eight specific and relevant keywords have been provided. Generic terms that do not help readers identify the paper's subject have been avoided.
• References follow APA style. In-text citations and the reference list are complete, consistent, and formatted according to APA style. Every source cited in the text appears in the reference list, and every reference-list entry is cited in the manuscript.
• Tables and figures are complete and readable. All tables and figures are numbered, titled or captioned clearly, referred to in the text, and placed appropriately. Their content can be understood without unnecessary duplication.
• All authors have approved the submission. Every listed author has reviewed the final manuscript, agreed to the authorship order, and approved submission to IJSPE. The corresponding author has current contact information and is authorized to communicate on behalf of all authors.
• Funding and conflicts of interest have been disclosed. Relevant financial support, sponsorship, institutional interests, personal relationships, or other competing interests have been stated clearly where applicable.
• The Publication Ethics policy has been reviewed. The manuscript complies with the journal's standards on originality, plagiarism, authorship, data integrity, honest reporting, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest.
• The Copyright and Licensing page has been reviewed. The authors understand the journal's applicable copyright, licensing, and open-access publication terms before submission.
• The manuscript fits the journal's scope. The submission makes a clear contribution to social policy, education, or an interdisciplinary area connecting the two, and the authors have reviewed the IJSPE Aims and Scope page.

Once every item has been checked and the submission materials are complete, authors may proceed to the IJSPE submission page and complete the online submission wizard.
